Georg Karlin

Georg Karlin founded 'Kulturen'↗ in Lund in 1882 and was one of the pioneers of the homestead movement in Sweden during the late 19th century.

Straight ahead you can see the entrance to the northern part of Kulturen. To the left are some windows at the back of the Academic Association.

The street sign which is inset in the picture sits on the gable of the half-timbered house.

Georg Karlin is buried at Östra kyrkogården in Lund (IDstory)

If you are out for a little cultural walk, it is not far from 'Kulturen' to Krognoshuset (IDstory) with its old stone steps and its new art.
