In the world of offices, it's nice to have a corner room. Here sits someone who doesn't know right now that you and I can also look out over the square.

Lean a little to the left to see Gamla kyrkogården (IDstory). Straight ahead you see a nice old Art Nouveau house (IDstory), which is owned by the Freemasons. But it's summer and we take a break from culture and wander across the square to the vegetable stand.

We close our eyes as we pass the building in the middle of the square and arrive at the fresh vegetables and fruits. Irresistible and filled with antioxidants. Buy the small tomatoes on the branch, the others are also called tomatoes, but are conveniently hidden in a good dressing.

On the left you can buy travel, exchange money, buy expensive chocolate and probably rent an empty office.

Stop for the pedestrian, but click on the white house.

Events on the square

Squares are filled with events. This IDstory will later be updated with more images and texts. Big and small are mixed.

Which Gustav Adolf?

Probably not the VI and hardly the II. Malmö was Danish at the time, so it's probably best that we decide Gustav the IV's Adolf ( svW). He decided in 1804 that Malmö's fortifications should be demolished and that two new squares were needed. Drottningtorget (IDstory) is the other one.

The south side of the square

The most interesting house is called the Valhalla palace (IDstory) . Older Malmö residents may remember that the Fläkta Örn pharmacy was located here, which was once located on Stortorget (IDstory). The most beautiful straw hats were made in the house courtyard.
